Pierre Fabre Médicament – SuperCritical Fluids Division – will exhibit at CPhI Japan on 24 – 26 April 2013 at Big Sight Exhibition Center, Tokyo.

Recognised as a pharmaceutical establishment by French health authorities, this GMP supercritical fluids unit proposes its services for pre-formulation of APIs. Taste-masking of APIs, improvement of apparent solubility and bioavailability of APIs are obtained with green and mild processes* (solvent-free).

Bernard Freiss and Hubert Lochard, from this department, are specialized in the use of supercritical CO2, and will be accompanied by an Interpreter (Japanese / French / English) during CPhI Japan to meet you and discuss your project.

* FORMULCOAT: coating of particles without use of organic solvent, giving impressive results for taste-masking

*FORMULPLEX: complexation with cyclodextrin in a powder form, providing impressive enhancement of the apparent solubility of a poorly soluble drug due to the CO2 medium which creates an excellent equilibrium

*FORMULDISP: stabilisation of a drug in an amorphous state, leading to improvement of bioavailability with a totally dry and stable solid dispersion
